CULTURAL AND CREATIVE ARTS AWARDS

Women have a responsibility to work together to make this a better world. Part of that process lies in bettering ourselves through our God-given talents. Sharing our creative talents helps to enrich the lives of family, friends, and community. American Mothers, Inc. encourages mothers to continue and improve their creative talents through the Cultural and Creative Arts Competition.

There are four categories:

• Art - Oil Painting; Watercolor Painting; Pastels; Sculpture; Crafts; Photography; Mixed Media; and Computer Graphics

Each State may hold a competition in each category. Any mother living in the State who qualifies may participate. If no Competition is held, individuals may apply to enter the ‘national competition’ through their State Association president, or by contacting the National Office for more information. The first place winners in each category have an opportunity to enter the national competition.The theme of the Art and Literature competitions is “Motherhood, Family, and/or the Home.”

General Qualifications:

• Competitions are open to all mothers. They must participate in the State Association competition before entering the National Exhibit, or contact the State Association President or Area Coordinator for eligibility clarification.
• All applicants must be a National and state member of AMI or join AMI upon entering the competition.
• For art and literature, all entries must be the original work of the participant.
